Terms of Service

Last updated: November 16, 2025

Welcome to UnlockBin. These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your use of the paste-hosting platform available at unlockbin.com ('Service'). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Service description

UnlockBin allows users to create, host and share text-based pastes. Creators can optionally require payment (a Stripe paywall) to grant access to a paste. Paid access is granted automatically after successful Stripe payment.

2. Accounts

Accounts are provided via Firebase Authentication (Google, GitHub, or email/password). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information.

3. Payments & refunds

  • Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • Refunds are issued only when a paid unlock fails to deliver access (no unlock, no fee). All other payments are final.
  • See our Refund Policy for the full eligibility rules, request process, and response timeline.
  • Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to payment data; we do not store full payment card details.
  • A 5% service fee is applied to each transaction made through UnlockBin.

4. User content & responsibilities

You retain ownership of any content you upload. By uploading you grant UnlockBin a non-exclusive license to host and display that content.

You must not upload or share content that is illegal or violates the rules below. You are solely responsible for the content you post.

Prohibited content and actions

  • Illegal content (including copyrighted works without permission)
  • Child sexual abuse material or exploitation
  • Malware, exploits, or instructions intended to facilitate criminal activity
  • Fraudulent or stolen IMEIs and other stolen data
  • Sensitive personal data such as passports, medical records, or financial account numbers
  • Hate speech, threats, extreme violence
  • Scraping, automated harvesting, reverse engineering, denial-of-service or other disruptive behavior

5. Moderation & removal

We do not proactively moderate all content. We will remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law when we become aware of it. We may disable accounts and remove pastes for abuse, legal requests, or security reasons.

6. Data & privacy (summary)

We collect and process the minimal data needed to provide the Service: account email, paste content, and - when relevant - IMEI and device model for unlock services. We use Firebase, Stripe and Google Analytics as third-party processors. For full details see our Privacy Policy.

7. Data retention

  • Pastes: retained until creator deletes them (unless removed under these Terms).
  • Administrative data (including IMEI for unlocks): retained for 1-2 years for support, warranty, and bookkeeping.
  • Payment records: retained by Stripe per their policies.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UnlockBin and its operators provide the Service as-is and are not liable for user content, lost profits, indirect damages, or losses arising from your use of the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your use is lawful.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UnlockBin from claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, violation of law, or your user content.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts or access for violations, abuse, fraud, chargebacks, or legal reasons. Termination does not relieve you of obligations that arose prior to termination.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We will post the new Last updated date on this page.
